Iris Woo is a registered architect with the Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership with over 20 years of experience. She had worked with Henriquez Partners Architects, James K.M. Cheng Architects Inc. and IBI/HB in the past. Iris has worked on a number of residential projects, hotels, heritage building, institution project, and health care projects in Canada, in the United States, and in China. She has worked on various phases of projects, including pre-design, schematic design, design development, construction document, contract administration, occupancy, and interior design.
In 2004, Iris earned a Master of Architecture Degree from the University of British Columbia and is a registered architect with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia since 2009. Iris continues her architectural studies by taking further related courses after getting registered. In 2009, she became a LEED ® AP and between 2011 and 2012, she took the Certified Professional (CP) Course, offered by the City of Vancouver, the City of Surrey, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C., and the Architectural Institute of B.C. in conjunction.
Outside of work, Iris also contributes to the architectural community. In 2007, she participated in organizing a successful international architectural ideas competition called poto:type. In 2010, she was an adviser for the Pilot English Course for foreign trained architects offered by the Immigrant Services Society of BC. Currently, she also mentors architecture interns into getting registered with the AIBC.
